Mobile learning
As schools, governments, organizations, and businesses around the world design information for mobile devices, there is an increasing need to establish how information is designed for mobile devices for learning, education, and training. This demand is fueled by the need to easily share and use learning and training materials at any time and anywhere. At the same time, technology is changing at a rapid pace. 3D glasses enable vivid training through virtual reality, and voice input and output are used for language training. This makes us feel the urgency to revise standards for the use of mobile technologies in learning, education, and training.
ISO/IEC 29140:2021
ISO/IEC 29140 provides guidance on the use of a learner information model for mobile technology in learning, education, and training. It was first announced by ISO and IEC in 2020 and revised in 2021. This standard can be referenced by software developers, implementers, educational designers, teachers, and trainers, and sets up a learner information model so that the learning, education, and training environment can reflect the specific needs of mobile participants.
