OHSAS 18001:2007
OHSAS 18001 is an international standard that sets out health and safety management system requirements. Compliance with it enables organizations to demonstrate that they had a system in place for occupational health and safety. However, with publication of ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001 was abolished and organizations certified will be required to migrate to ISO 45001 in order to retain a recognized certification.
ISO 45001:2018
ISO 45001 is an international standard stipulating occupational health and safety management system, published on March, 2018. The goal of ISO 45001 is for organization to provide a safe and healthy work environment, prevent work-related injuries and health disorders, and continuously improve the performance of safety and health.
OHSAS 18001 - ISO 45001 Gap analysis

- • ISO 45001 emphasizes the responsibilities and roles of top management as well as worker participation.
- • ISO 45001 considers health and safety to be an integral part of "ordinary business".
- • Whereas OHSAS 18001 focuses only on internal risk management, ISO 45001 goes further and considers external influences and focuses on the interaction between the organization and the business environment.
"ISO 45001 Auditor" registration requirement of GPC
- Education level beyond secondary graduation
- Over 5 years of work experience (including at least 2 years of experience related to occupational health and safety management)
- Completion of ISO 45001 Auditor/Lead Auditor training
- Pass knowledge and attribution examination of GPC
- Audit log of at least 20M/D within 3 years
Transition registration from OHSAS 18001 to ISO 45001
Transition registration is possible if submit the ‘ISO 45001 Training Certificate'.
