Methods for evaluating a personnel’s competence include confirmation of academic background, work experience, and education and training history. Competence is also evaluated in an objective way through the examination process such as written, oral and practical skills, etc.
GPC's work
GPC, a personnel certification body, has developed certification schemes for ISO management system auditor certification. In the auditor certification scheme, evaluation criteria for academic background, work experience, certification examination pass, education and training history and audit history are established, and GPC evaluates personnel qualifications through this.
In addition, GPC manages a training provider for cultivating auditors who perform ISO management system audits. GPC, which has been approved for designation of training provider through MLA with IPC, designates only qualified institutes as training providers according to the training provider evaluation criteria established by itself. Businesses and industries need auditors with qualifications in various fields to ensure efficient operation and competitiveness, and training providers are making efforts to produce auditors with expertise.
