World Accreditation Day 2021

The theme for World Accreditation Day 2021 is [Accreditation: Supporting the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)]

The SDGs are common goals of the international society that the United Nations adopted in 2015 for the sustainable prosperity of mankind and the planet and must be implemented by 2030. Consisting of 17 goals and 169 detailed goals, in line with the slogan "Leave no one behind", the SDGs support the resolution of poverty, environment, and inequality in all countries, including developed and developing countries.

Accreditation provides the technical and operational foundations that are critical to the functioning of developed and developing societies. In this way, accreditation supports the achievements of the SDGs enabling industrial development, trade competitiveness in global markets, efficient use of natural and human resources, food safety, and health and environmental protection.
